Enjoy a warm welcome and friendly hospitality when you stay at the Ambassador Motor Inn, 1759 Sturt Street Ballarat, the first motel on the left 700 metres past the Arch of Victory on Sturt Street.
We offer a selection of accommodation options catering for corporates, couples, groups of three and friends or families with four, five or six people. Our rooms are all on the ground floor, some are disability accessible.
Ballarat offers a hive of activities to keep your visit interesting and active. These include Sovereign Hill for exciting activities such as gold panning, a tour of the mine, visit the Gold Museum and the light & sound show. Plan a visit to Creswick Woollen Mills for clothing and knitting requirements or the Wildlife Park to see native Australian animals and exotic reptiles. Spend a hour or a day meandering through the Ballarat or Daylesford Mill Markets contemplating the procurement of an antique or second-hand item. Other events of interest throughout the year are the Ballarat Begonia Festival, White Night Ballarat, Fuellers Horsepower Extravaganza, Rumble Run, Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival, Ballarat Swap Meet, harvFEST, XXXX Gold Pan Pro Am, Ballarat Heritage Weekend, Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail, the Senior Basketball Tournament and the Intergroup Indoor Bowls Championships.

The reception is open between 8am to 9pm, daily
Check in is anytime from 2pm onwards.
Check out is anytime up to 10am.
Late check out – incurs a fee of $15 per hour.
Late Arrivals - please ring reception by 6pm on your day of travel so we can arrange for you to access the key to your room.
All bookings require a valid credit card to secure the reservation.
Payment for accommodation is charged on the day of arrival. Large group bookings are required to pay a deposit to secure the reservation.
Accommodation booked through the Booking Button will require payment on completion of the booking.
Cancellations within the 3 days before arrival or in case of a ‘no show’, 100 percent of the first night will be charged.
Free WIFI and off-street parking is available, for larger vehicles the service road at the front of the motel can be used to park trucks, buses and vans. To entertain guests in addition to the normal TV channels, we have 6 Foxtel channels which include 4 Sports, News and a Movie channel.
The outdoor pool is accessible for swimming over the warmer months and there is an undercover BBQ adjacent to the pool for guests use.
Continental or cooked breakfast is available seven days a week and is delivered to the room. Continental breakfasts can be brought to the room the night before for a leisurely breakfast without interruption if preferred (every room has a toaster).
If you have more than one car please advise reception when you arrive to receive directions of where to park.
Smoking on the motel premises
All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. Ashtrays sit outside the rooms, you can move them to where you are sitting outside.
Pets are not allowed as per Ballarat Council Regulations.
